Based in the heartland of Wales in Meirionnydd, COR GODRE’R ARAN is unique in many ways. It began life in the 1950s as a Cerdd Dant party, specialising in the ancient craft of singing verses to harp accompaniment. Over the years, it has gone through many transformations, but has retained a consistency of musical standards, and is today one of the top performers in Wales, and renowned on several continents for the high quality of its singing.
COR GODRE’R ARAN’s recordings are spectacular examples of the art of choral singing. They have won great acclaim in all of Wales’ national festivals and have undertaken singing tours to all corners of the world with great success, including several sell-out tours of Australia and New Zealand.
