Description
Under the direction of the famous Leonard Bernstein (1919-1990), one of the world’s best conductors, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra (which plays here under the pseudonym of “New York Stadium Symphony Orchestra”) interprets four of the most beautiful symphonies from Brahms, Schumann, Dvorak and Tchaikovsky. Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990) is one of the most famous American conductors of all time. He gained world-wide fame overnight when he made his conducting debut with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra after Bruno Walter had come down with the flu – without any rehearsal! Bernstein kept a lifelong strong bond with the New York orchestra, as well as the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Symphonic Orchestra of the Bayerische Rundfunk, Germany.
Bernstein’s style in conducting was inimitable. He was second to none in transferring his emotions to the audience.
